Our Beginning
My name is Amjad Khan as a child I grew up in a Presbyterian home which was often visited by missionaries. As a young boy I always wanted to be a missionary. I heard so much about my grandfather and grandmother who served in the city of Sialkot in British India. My grandfather was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and was actively involved in the inauguration of Sialkot Christian Convention in 1904 by the Presbyterian missionaries in the soul of India.
I first visited New Zealand in 1997 for my theological studies, and then returned to Pakistan where in 1998 I married my wife Nasira. In 2001 New Zealand became our home permanently, and God blessed us with four children, Sarah, Elisha, Jessica and Marylin. From 2001 to 2005 I worked with Covenant Presbyterian Church in Auckland, and in 2005 Myself, Tony Bracefield and Dr. Andrew Young were sent out from Covenant to plant Redeemer Grace Presbyterian Church in Flatbush Manukau. As a brand new Church there were many challenges and so I took my wife and children and shifted to the area the church was working in. Our house became the first ministry home in Chapel Park and all the ministries and even the afternoon Sunday service was held at our place. With over 25 people every Sunday, my wife did a lot of cooking for fellowship meals.
Doing church the way we did in the early days of Redeemer was bit strange to us, but in reality God was teaching us, and growing us. From 2005 and 2010 God abundantly blessed our business endeavors and enabled me to help a lot of my brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
In 2010 God called me to serve in Pakistan. So since 2010 I have been serving Him in Pakistan.
Today Grace for Pakistan is the largest organisation in Pakistan which distributes free Bibles and gospel tracts to all over Pakistan.
I am a simple servant of God born in the family of God. I attach no titles to my name as I give all recognition to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. HE IS LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS. So my home is in heaven and I am just a pilgrim passing through this world. I hold no allegiances to this world. My time on this earth is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. And to warn those who will hear of the wrath and judgment to come.
2 Peter 3: 11-18
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Amjad Khan
Statement of Faith
We believe in the Triune God, eternal in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God, the only living God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally given are the only inspired and infallible record of the revelation of God to man, and are the supreme authority in all matters of life and faith.
We believe in the sovereignty of God in creation, providence and redemption.
We believe God’s acts of creation, and not evolution, are responsible for the origin of all things, and that creation according to the Biblical record is a historical event.
We believe in the Providence of God whereby He upholds the universe, governs the world, supplies the needs of His creatures and brings His will to pass.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God to have dominion over the earth and to do all things to the glory of God.
We believe in man’s universal fall into sin through Adam’s transgression and in his subsequent guilt, depravity, judgement and condemnation.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father; that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified as a ransom for many, died was buried, was resurrected from the dead and ascended into Heaven in the same body in which He was crucified; that He is presently at the right hand of God the Father as prophet, priest and king and will personally return to earth in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the free offer of salvation to all men and the necessity of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.
We believe that to those who believe God imputes righteousness – not on account of their faith but because of God’s grace.
We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to apply the benefits of Christ’s redemption to individual sinners, working in them regeneration, faith, repentance, sanctification and glorification.
We believe the Holy Spirit’s indwelling of the believer begins at regeneration and enables the believer more and more to die unto sin and to live unto righteousness.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind, the unjust being raised to everlasting dishonour and the just unto everlasting honour being made conformable to Christ’s glorious body.
We believe in one holy, universal Church.
